The Loudoun LifeStyle

Loudoun County, Virginia, is one of the fastest growing counties in the United States, and part of the thriving Washington, DC Metro area economy. This explosive growth has resulted in a wide ranging choice of housing, much of it new. The county also boasts many new schools, rapid development of new transportation systems and roads, shopping centers, restaurants, and recreational facilities. What isn’t located within the county, is a short distance away in Fairfax County, Tyson’s Corner and Washington, DC. Professional sports, major universities and a multitude of museums, historic sites, theater and world class entertainment are just a short distance away via major highway systems or the Metrorail from Vienna, Tyson’s Corner or Springfield.

Many areas of Loudoun County still boast rural charm, small town living and country estates and horse farms. There are historic downtowns like Leesburg, Virginia, surrounded by all of the modern amenities desired by today’s suburban homeowners. Western Loudoun County borders lovely historic small towns. To the West there’s Harper’s Ferry in West Virginia, and to the North across the Potomac River, is Frederick, Maryland. The entire Northern Virginia area is rich in historic homes, wineries & vineyards, and well maintained public parklands. There are many recreational options in the area for camping, hiking, biking, boating, fishing, skiing, skating, golfing, equestrian sport and motor racing.

Planned communities in the area include Ashburn, South Riding, and Reston in nearby Fairfax County. Condo living is a wonderful option to townhomes and single family homes within the county, and there are still larger tracts of land available to custom build your own home.
